FAMILIAL MEDITATION
Familial Mediation seeks to close generational gaps between students and their parents through debate- style intervention. Students and parents will be assigned neutral topics, and structure solid arguments that are presented before an audience. Led by communication professionals, parent and child will engage in debate in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The goal of this program is to bridge the communication gap within families, in a competent, efficient, yet intimate manner. By holding the debates in a public setting, families can logically evaluate underlying issues in their household dynamic without resorting to emotional rhetoric. This program will benefit the child’s relationship with parents, and a multi-cultural audience will encourage growth within families and the surrounding community.
