Today at Ring House, I was much more comfortable compared to the last time I went. I assisted in many different ways. I took pictures of the group discussing the diverse topics, and I even partook in some topics. Near the end, we made story beads that were supposed to represent, of course, stories. Overall, I had a nice time at the Ring House.

I was really glad to see the elderly again today. I used to be very nervous, afraid that I would make mistakes, but I was confident today because the elderly were really friendly. The residents at the Ring House went out of their way to make my classmates and me feel at home. I was able to gain a lot of knowledge from learning about their experiences through our conversations. I think we need to always take care of the elderly because they need our help.

I really liked when we visited the Ring House. Last week, during my first visit to the Ring House, I was very nervous. But today, I wasn’t nervous, because I knew everyone is nice, and they all like young people. I had fun when we walked down to the lake. The seniors talked about nature and their experiences when they were young, etc. One person told me that he went into the forest and brought home two small trees, and fifty years later, they were giant trees! I took pictures of the pond, and many other things in the community (like a fire hydrant with a sign). When we went back inside, we talked about some writing prompts, and it was interesting to hear all the answers everybody gave. My visit to the Ring House was really fun!

Today, I went to the Ring House with my classmates. I was not as scared as I was during the first visit. Before my first visit to the Ring House, I had no idea on how to talk to senior citizens. At the Ring House, I started socializing with the seniors by first just letting them talk and then joining in! The seniors were really nice and we talked about nature, pollution and more. When one of my classmates, Cato, and I went inside after our walk with the seniors, we started to discuss questions. We then went on and started to put beads on a string to remember different stories and stuff. When we were leaving, I felt sad and wished I could go back (which is exactly what we are going to do on Thursday). I am so excited about visiting the Ring House in the future!
