Last weekend I went to the Ring House. As usual, the old man there was waiting for our help, and asked me some questions about how to use the new technology. But this time, an old woman came to ask for help too. She used to be a scientist at NASA, and now she looks back on her life, on the Apollo project, and on her knowledge about space. Obviously, I’m not the best person to help her, because I don’t know all the programs in NASA, and I don’t know what we should watch on television, but to the best of my ability, I found her a show that I thought she might like. However, the image quality wasn’t very good. In the end, she left without saying anything; she just quietly left. I think I need more experience with this kind of work, and maybe I need to be more polite. I should have done my best to help her.
But it is too late. I watched her silhouette as she walked out into the street, and as she walked out of sight. I felt very upset and sorry for her all night.
